| Accepting bids for accessibilty surveys in Franklin County
The Town of Sheldon and the Vermont Center for Independent Living is accepting bids from contractors to conduct accessibility surveys of all 15 municipal facilities, programs and policies in Franklin County. The survey scope includes: accessibility surveys for physical access, accessibility of programs and policies of municipal offices, garages, firehouses, libraries, polling places, public parking areas, recreation areas, and schools and their grounds if used for public meetings and community events. The survey will follow the standards developed by the Access Board for the Department of Justice.
Project timeframe: February 2008-April 2008.
Bids shall include:
Experience with ADA Access reviews including resumes from staff, cost breakout per hour, hours to complete project and knowledge and experience in the Franklin County community and disability rights movement.
